WHAT WE’LL DO
Join us on a 5-hour cultural journey through Jabal Lweibdeh and Downtown Amman.
We’ll start with tea at a cozy local project near Paris Circle, then visit Omair the beekeeper to taste and learn about honey.
Next, we head downtown to cook a traditional Maqloubeh (vegan option available) with the amazing Chef Wafaa, complete with salads, sweets, juice, and Arabic coffee.
We end at Jadal Cultural Center for a hands-on Arabic calligraphy workshop with Ibrahim Abu Touq.

WHAT TO EXPECT & HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR TOUR
WALKING:
Prepare for a lively exploration with around 5,000 steps, including navigating some stairs. To stay comfortable, please wear sturdy and comfy shoes.
WEATHER:
Summer (June to September): Expect hot weather during our morning tour with temperatures around 90°F (32°C). Nights are cooler, averaging 66°F (19°C). We recommend sunscreen and a hat/kaffiyeh.
Winter (December to February): Be ready for colder conditions, with temperatures averaging 55°F (13°C) during the day and 40°F (5°C) at night. We recommend a good jacket and scarf.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Vegetarians: We can accommodate vegetarians with minimal adjustments to the tour.

Jacqueline, originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, brings her 12+ years of experience as a portrait photographer to the community in Amman. Growing up in a family of photographers, specializing in weddings, engagements, and family portraits by the beach. As an added passion, Jacqueline organized the first cat event in the city center and published a "Cats of Amman" photo book. She creates prints and artwork that showcases the street cats here, you can find them now at Dar Ne'meh Cafe locations.
